The Alsace vineyards extends at the foot of the Vosges on one hundred kilometers according a northern southern axis. It covers the hills at the bottom of the Vosges between 200 and 400 meters of altitude on a about 13000 hectares in production. The soils are made of an extreme geological diversity. There is a true mosaic of all the formations from primary to quaternary era who make the richness of the range of the Alsace wines. |
